Community Partners of Lubbock

The Rainbow Room is a Community Partners of Lubbock program and is 100% community funded. Prior to the creation of the Rainbow Room, Child Protective Services (CPS) caseworkers relied on their own personal resources or spent hours of precious time searching for items to meet the needs of the children they served.

Sensing the need to develop a resource for the rising number of children being placed in the foster care system under emergency situations, the Rainbow Room was established in April of 1998 by the Junior League of Lubbock.

In 2023, The Rainbow Room served:

6,556 items; to 1,226 families, helping 2,624 children

In the first third of 2024, The Rainbow Room has served:

1,942 items; to 368 families, helping 839 children

The Rainbow Room is 100% community-funded and stocks everything from toiletries to clothing to car seats. Thanks to the generosity of caring individuals, companies, and organizations, The Rainbow Room served more than 200 children a month in 2023 on average. But our need continues to grow.
